Sometimes life doesn't arrive with a trumpet. Sometimes it boards quietly. One seat over.
Across ten short journeys — a ferry, a gondola, a duck boat, a wedding carriage, a riverboat and more — strangers find themselves seated beside one another, with just enough story leaking out the seams to make them sit still.
Not quite strangers. Not quite salvation. Each ride carries something: grief disguised as gumption, faith stitched together with doubt, commitment hanging on by a thread, stillness mistaken for failure. There's no map — just a seat, and whoever's beside you.
One Seat Over is built for minimal staging: two benches, rearranged to suggest different modes of transit. The focus stays on the characters, their words, and the quiet gravity of the space between them. Projection slides are available for productions that want them.
